Askhat Nuskabaj participates in the 25th Anniversary I.A.O. General Assembly in Athens

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Nuskabaj attended 25^th Anniversary I.A.O. General Assembly in Athens.

Askhat Nuskabaj on behalf of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States welcomed the participants of the 25^th Anniversary I.A.O. General Assembly and thanked the I.A.O. Leadership for the invitation and the opportunity to address at the meeting.

Askhat Nuskabaj informed the participants about a number of IPA CIS events and expressed confidence that the I.A.O. would take an active part in the international conference on countering terrorism scheduled spring 2019, and co-organized by IPA CIS, PA CE, OSCE, PAM and IPU.

In addition, Askhat Nuskabaj reminded the session participants that on 30 June celebration of the International Day of Parliamentarism will be held for the first time, which was created by the initiative of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

On 25 June, Askhat Nuskabaj met with I.A.O. President Sergei Popov and Secretary General Andreas Michailidis.

Chairman of the Committee of the state Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on development of civil society, public and religious organizations Sergey Gavrilov was elected new I.A.O. President.
