CIS Council of Permanent Representatives Holds Regular Meeting in Minsk

The meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth took place in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk. Co-chair of the Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Nasirjan Yusupov presided over the meeting.
The members of the Council discussed the Joint Action Plan of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth and the Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council on the implementation of instructions based on decisions of the Council of CIS Heads of State (11 October 2019), the Council of CIS Heads of Government (25 October 2019), the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers (10 October 2019), as well as the proposals expressed by the heads of delegation during these meetings. The members of the Council decided to continue work on the Plan and agree on the received proposals by the end of the year.
Furthermore, the participants discussed and approved the Schedule of reports on the activities of the CIS bodies of sectoral cooperation at meetings of the Council of CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Economic Policies Commission in 2020–2021.
The members of the Council summarized their activities in the past year and discussed proposals for the Council’s work plan for 2020.
The CIS Executive Committee submitted proposals to the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiaries Representatives on the draft agenda for the next meeting of the Council of the CIS of Foreign Ministers, which will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan on 3 April 2020.
The next regular meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives is scheduled for 29 January 2019.
