Exhibition "Golden Heritage of Kazakhstan" Opens in St. Petersburg

From 17 November to 3 December 2019, the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg will host the exhibition “The Golden Heritage of Kazakhstan” from the collection of the Museum of Local History and Culture of the Atyrau region. It is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the discovery of the unique burial place of the Sarmatian chief - the second “Golden Man”. At the exhibition, residents and guests of St. Petersburg will be able to get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the treasures of ancient civilization dating back to the Sarmatian period (3rd century BC – 4th century AD). The central place in the exposition will be taken by the legendary archeological find - the Sarmatian leader in gold robes.
