CIS farmers come together

The document marks a first step towards building cooperation among the national farming communities in the post-Soviet period. 

It is all but impossible to safeguard one’s interest in isolation. Consolidation is imperative. The four farming communities will have a common agenda of setting prices, market penetration, fair competition in the WTO-dominated environment, cutting out the middleman, human resources for agriculture.
