The city of Brest is the venue for the international seminar Building Environmentally-Friendly Roads

The seminar is sponsored by International Motorway Construction Board, Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Belarus and Belavtodor corporation. 

The seminar will discuss current practices in mainstreaming environmental regulations into the construction and maintenance of motorways. The seminar will also address issues related to the managment, treatment, recycling of waste generated by road construction works, impact of motor vehicles on the road cover, monitoring of land bordering major motorways.

Case studies will include national practices of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kirgizstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
