CIS Forum of Artistic and Scientific Intelligentsia to be held in Astana

The 13^th CIS Forum of Artistic and Scientific Intelligentsia will be held on 19-20 June in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event will bring together more than 200 representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

According to the press office of the CIS Humanitarian Action Trust Fund, during the plenary meeting and the thematic sessions representatives of academia, education and art will discuss humanization of education, consistency and innovations in working with young people and the formation of intercultural dialogue. Considering the status of the current year as the Year of Culture in the CIS, the delegates will focus on the issues of cultural engagement.

One of the debates will be dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the experience of Astana in the promotion and development of cultural institutions.

During the Forum the award ceremony of the CIS intergovernmental award “Stars of the Commonwealth” will take place.
