Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations took place in Minsk

The CIS Executive Committee provided a venue for the meeting of the Council of the Permanent Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth under the leadership of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Representative of Republic of Tajikistan at the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Makhmadsharif Khakdod.

Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, on behalf of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova, presented to the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Viktor Guminsky the medal for the implementation of measures related to the organization and conduct of elections. As well as Permanent Representative of Russian Federation at the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Andrei Shvedov was presented with a commemorative gift by the CIS Executive Committee staff.

The meeting discussed agendas for the regular meetings of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers and Council of the CIS Heads of State.

The issues related to the preparation and celebration of the 75^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the implementation of the 2021 Interstate Program "Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth" in the Republic of Tajikistan were included in the drafts of the agendas of both meetings.

In addition, the meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers will consider documents regulating the interaction of the Commonwealth countries in the humanitarian sphere, support of the youth voluntary, development of physical culture and sports, as well as the inventory of the legal framework of the Commonwealth, the creation and operation of the basic organizations of states CIS in various areas.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan at the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Nazarguly Shaguliev announced International rally «Amul-Khazar 2018».

Next regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives scheduled for 28 August.
