Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Ibod Rakhimov awarded representatives of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) with Commonwealth orders of merit

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Representative of the Majlisi oli of the Republic of Tajukistan Ibod Rakhimov took part in the 51st session of the Board of the RCC CAs Heads and in the 22nd session of the CIS Coordination Council at the RCC in Dushanbe.

On behalf of Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, he wished the participants every success and awarded Chairperson of the Board of the RCC CAs Heads, Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Nikolay Nikiforov and Director General of the RCC Executive Committee Nurudin Muhitdinow with Commonwealth orders.

According to Ibod Rakhimov, the development of information technologies has become an important element of economic integration. He also added, that since its establishment the IPA CIS had adopted 20 model laws in the field of IT and communications which facilitated creation and development of legal framework in the CIS countries.

This year the 51st session of the Board of the RCC CAs Heads and the 22nd session of the CIS Coordination Council at the RCC have coincided with the 25th anniversary of the RCC. It was established on 17 December 1991 in Moscow by Communication Administrations of 11 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
