IPA CIS Council Chairperson addressed the participants of the IV International Forum Eurasian Economic Perspective

IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko addressed the participants of the IV International Forum Eurasian Economic Perspective.

According to Valentina Matvienko, the Forum proved to be an effective venue that allows to discuss relevant issues of Eurasian integration at the high level.

The IPA CIS Council Chairperson noted that the Eurasian Economic Union was a promising integration project that, under current adverse situation on global markets, especially in the energy sector, had proven to be a stabilizing factor.

Valentina Matvienko also commended the improved interaction between parliamentarians and the increased number of topics discussed.

"Integration process is a complicated activity that embraces governments, parliaments, businesses, general public, representatives of cultural and scientific communities. Together we must do our utmost to strengthen thousands of ties that have been connecting us for centuries. This will ensure economic growth and welfare improvement", added Valentina Matvienko.

According to Speaker of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin, within three years the Eurasian Economic Perspective has become an important venue for parliamentarians, representatives of business and academic community that are aimed at promoting economic cooperation within EEU. He emphasized that in spite of all modern challenges the Eurasian integration was getting stronger.
