Issues of cooperation in the field of periodical printing, book publishing, book promotion and polygraphy were discussed in Cholpon-Ata

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, Cholpon-Ata hosted the XXI session of the Interstate Council for cooperation in the field of periodical printing, book publishing, book promotion and polygraphy of Member Nations of the CIS.

The participants discussed the implementation of the decisions made during the twentieth session of the Interstate Council, the outcomes of "Art of a Book" - the XIII international competition of the states-participants of the CIS, the issues of preparation and conduct of upcoming XIV competition.

The participants also established the main prize (Grand Prix) of the contest "Art of a Book "  in the form of statuettes "Golden binding". The issues of the technological cycle of electronic publications creation, legal aspects of working with them (protection of human rights and the fight against piracy), as well as the organization of the sale of electronic publications were considered. In addition, members of the Interstate Council discussed some details of the contest among bookselling enterprises of the states - participants of the CIS, summarized the events devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and exchanged views on different organizational issues.
