Joint Chiefs of Border Guards held their 75th session in Ashgabat

The session was attended by delegations from 9 border services of the CIS and other cooperative departments.

During the session the participants exchanged their opinions on border security situation of the CIS countries in the Central Asian region.

The participants of the session discussed and approved the information of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers on the implementation of the Intergovernmental Protocol of 5 October 2007 and approved the training program for the CIS border services to mitigate emergency situations on the borders.

Joint border exercises in 2017 became another issue on the agenda.

The participants decided on the necessity to keep functioning of the Coordination Service, which is a permanent body of the Joint Chiefs of Border Guards.

Taking into consideration the priorities of the multilateral partnership, the participants approved the Action Plan of Joint Chiefs of Border Guards for 2017.
