Meeting of the Commission on Economic Issues at the CIS Economic Council took place in the CIS Executive Committee

One of the key topics of the meeting was the Chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the CIS in 2019. Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan at the Commission on Economic Issues at the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Batyr Niyazliev, in his capacity of a moderator of the meeting, presented the Concept of Chairmanship to the participants.

In his address, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Council Sergei Ivanov expressed his appreciation of the Concept of Chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the CIS Bodies and expressed his hope for fruitful cooperation in its implementation.

The members of the Commission also discussed the Draft Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS Customs Authorities in the Field of Intellectual Property Rights Protection, as well as the issues of building and developing sustainable urban infrastructure, the role of national reinsurance companies in developing reinsurance markets in the Commonwealth countries, etc.
