Plenary session of the international forum “Public Governance – a Driver or a Drag of Development?”

Alexey Sergeev welcomed the guests of the forum in the Tavrichesky Palace. He noted that the IPA CIS Council Secretariat was working in close cooperation with North-West Institute of Management and striving to use the Institute'sunique potential. He emphasized that the multifaceted cooperation between the two organizations was based on the Cooperation Agreement.

Alexey Sergeev said that researchers of the Institute had contributed to preparation and analysis of model laws- “the key product of the IPA CIS”. Besides, the IPA CIS Secretariat involves professors in various kinds of expert activities offers internships for students inviting them to volunteer at the events hosted by the Assembly, and cooperates with the Institute through youth organizations.

IPA CIS Secretary General concluded that the North-West Institute of Management was a dynamic, developing university, focused on fulfilling its mission – training of qualified management personnel able to make effective decisions in conditions of today's challenges. He also expressed confidence that the forum would be held at a high level, and wished the participants creative achievements and fruitful discussions.
