Regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government took place in Dushanbe on 1 June

The agenda included the issues of CIS economic cooperation.

According to the press office of the CIS Executive Committee, during the meeting the CIS Agreement on the Formation and Development of the Intellectual Property Market, on Cooperation in the Field of Electronic and Electrical Waste Management, on Spread of the Documents on Intergovernmental Standardization, as well as the Protocol on amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in the Area of Customs of 15 April 1994 were signed.

Heads of Government adopted the CIS Concept in the Field of Innovative Energy and Development of Advanced Energy Technologies and the plan of priority actions on its implementation.

The Procedure of Development and Financing Intergovernmental Innovative Projects and Events within the framework of the Intergovernmental Program of CIS Innovation Cooperation until 2020, the CIS Package of Measures to Prevent and Combat Rabies until 2025, the Provisions on the CIS Congress of Teachers and Educators and the Provisions on the International Youth Project “100 Ideas for the CIS”.

In addition, the meeting decided to amend the Provisions on the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Defense Ministers.

The participants of the meeting were informed on the negotiation process on the draft Agreement on Free Trade in Services.

The Council of the CIS Heads of Government appointed Viktor Guminskiy (Republic of Belarus) First Deputy Executive Secretary of the CIS, Agybay Smagulov (Republic of Kazakhstan) and Sergey Ivanov (Russian Federation) were appointed the Deputy Executive Secretaries of the CIS. Vladimir Sokolin (Russian Federation) was appointed Chair of the CIS Board of Statistics.

The next meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan in autumn 2018.
