Serguey Lebedev: "The CIS priorities in 2016 will be given to economic cooperation"

Another important issue is ensuring international security. The current threats and extremists’ activity require close cooperation among the CIS members.

The CIS Executive Secretary also emphasized the importance of humanitarian cooperation.

In 2016 the CIS will be presided by the Kyrgyz Republic. It has already provided its presidency strategy which Seruey Lebedev found insightful.

Serguey Lebedev noted that the transformation and innovations were natural for the CIS, because the Commonwealth should be in tune with current trends and conditions. The main thing is that all CIS member states understand the need for strengthening cooperation among the members, said Serguey Lebedev.
