Special service and law-enforcement agencies meet in Bishkek to discuss fight against terrorism

Annual consultations of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center took place in Bishkek on 11-14 November. Reviewing current and emerging threats, the participants discussed ways to cooperate in uncovering terrorists and extremists and combat recruitment in international terrorist networks.

IPA CIS works to harmonize laws related to security and combating terrorism in the CIS. This October, the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges held its regular session at the IPA CIS headquarters.
