The CIS main geologists discussing the industry trends at Issyk-Kul

The XX session of the CIS Intergovernmental Council on Exploration Survey, Use and Conservation of Mineral Resources is taking place at Issyk-Kul on 3 – 4 August.
The session is attended by Heads of Geological Surveys from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and members of the CIS Executive Committee. Among visitors there are also special guests representing China and Mongolia.
During the session, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov expressed his confidence that the Intergovernmental Council would become an effective venue for sharing best practices aimed at facilitating economic development in the CIS.
Chairperson of the State Committee on Industry, Energy and Use of Mineral Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic Duyshenbek Zilaliev highlighted the importance of further implementation of all the decisions taken by the Intergovernmental Council.
The participants are expected to discuss the most important issues and get the information on the activities of the Council bodies. They will also analyse the results of work of the CIS Geological Surveys in 2015 – 2016 and review the implementation of the previously taken decisions.
