The II Eurasian Women’s Forum will take place in 2018

The participants of the I Eurasian Women’s Forum appealed for the II Forum in 2018 and for its permanent status.

According to IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, the geography of the Forum went beyond the bounds of Eurasia. The Forum got the global response, because it touched upon very topical and sensitive issues that require women’s attention and participation.

The Eurasian Womens’s Forum became a good platform for establishing new contacts and finding new ideas and original solutions. “The future of the Forum looks bright and its potential is huge” – said Valentina Matvienko.

The IPA CIS Council Chairperson noted that the Forum was very effective and the organizers managed to create a good atmosphere for constructive dialogue.

The outcome declaration of the Forum will become a significant contribution to numerous solutions and will serve the purpose of strengthening peace and mutual understanding.

The Forum compelled the attention of the mainstream media, politicians and representatives of civil society. “The women’s Forum has become one of the most significant platforms in the recent decade”.

Valentina Matvienko thanked the participants for their outspoken and transparent approaches and their commitment to the ideals of freedom and democracy.

The Speaker of the Federation Council is convinced that even when the Forum is over, the work will continue. “The next Forum will bring in even more participants and its geography will be even larger”.
