The sculpture of Tatar ruler Söyembikä will be exhibited for the first time in the Eurasian Women’s Forum

The unique statuette was made by world-known Russian sculptor Dashi Namdakov. His handiwork is exhibited in large museums and can be also found in metropolises and in private collections.

The statuette will be exhibited in the Tavricheskiy Palace during the Eurasian Women’s Forum on 24-25 September.

Söyembikä was a Tatar ruler and the wife of Khazan khans Canğäli and Safagäräy. She was one of the first Islamic women who lead a country. Her name is associated first of all with Söyembikä Tower, one of the towers of the Kazan Kremlin, and with the name of the main prospect in Naberezhnye Chelny.
