The New Year is celebrated across the CIS

In the Republic of Armenia, 31 December, 1 and 2 January are public holidays. 1 and 2 January are public holidays in the Republic of Azerbaijan and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan, and Ukraine celebrate the New Year on 1 January. In the Russian Federation the New Year holiday will last from 1 to 8 January.
