Vladimir Putin: EWF Demonstrates Tremendous Creative Role of Women in all Spheres of Life

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the Fourth Eurasian Womens Forum (EWF), which took place at the Tavricheskiy Palace - the headquarters of the IPA CIS.

The Head of State noted that the EWF is one of the most authoritative international platforms demonstrating the potential and capabilities of modern women, their truly colossal creative role in almost all spheres of our lives. The President emphasized that this type of forums reflect the most important demands of today, promote the ideas of unification in the name of sustainable development and universal security, this is more relevant than ever and is in demand by millions of people on all continents. The President also mentioned that humanity is faced with very difficult problems, and they can only be solved together, taking into account each others interests.

Vladimir Putin also drew attention to the agenda of the forum, which went beyond the usual discussion of the role of women in society. The head of state stressed that established women who had reached heights in their profession gather there, their experience in creative, managerial, intellectual, humanitarian, and educational activities is certainly of great importance to billions of people around the planet. Vladimir Putin said that all this had allowed the forum to become a global platform for developing proposals to solve the most pressing problems.

The President expressed confidence that the forum would be successful and effective, would launch new ideas and projects, and would contribute to the development of cooperation and mutual understanding on the planet.

The Fourth Eurasian Womens Forum was organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the IPA CIS. The EWF is the largest international platform bringing together women leaders from all continents of the planet to discuss their role in the modern world and develop common approaches to solving global problems. This year, more than 1,500 people from 126 countries took part in the forum.
