CIS Centers of national languages and culture reported on their activities

The meeting was convened for the presentation of CIS Centers of national languages and culture and their anchor organization, the Language University of Moscow. The event was opened by the Chief, Expert and Analytical Dept. of the IPA CIS Council Alexandr Sourygin. Directors of CIS Centers of national languages and culture reported on their progress and deliverables.

Director of the anchor organization Irina Khaleyeva noted that national languages are making progress in establishing them as official national languages, including in public administration and in the legal establishment. There is a growing need for experts in national languages in the CIS.
