Young Leaders from 9 Countries to Present Their View on Future of CIS

The Youth Inter-Parliamentary Forum will bring together young parliamentarians and leaders of youth organizations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. It will take place on 9 and 10 June 2022, at the Tavricheskiy Palace (St. Petersburg).
The forum “Young Parliamentarians — Looking into the Future of the Commonwealth” commemorates the 30th anniversary of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the 10th anniversary of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly operating within its framework.
Participants of the Forum will discuss priority areas of international youth cooperation, current challenges and the role of public youth diplomacy, issues of preserving and developing Russian language as a language of interethnic communication among Commonwealth youth, international experience and prospects for the development of youth parliamentary structures in the CIS.
The Forum’s business program includes a plenary session, roundtables and a special event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IPA CIS..
Seminars of the second day of the Forum will be dedicated to innovative approaches in youth policy and information support for legislative initiatives. Young parliamentarians will present their perspectives on the leadership of the next generation and will take part in public speaking training.
The Forum is co-organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and Rossotrudnichestvo as part of the “New Generation” Program implementation.
