Session of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States

A session of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations (YIPA CIS) will be held on 16 November 2023 in Bishkek.

Young MPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of youth parliaments, public organizations and associations of the Commonwealth will take part in the session.

This time, one of the key issues on the agenda will be the topic of information youth safety online. MPs will share their experience in ensuring information youth Safety online in their countries. Members of the Assembly will be introduced to the activities of the Centre for Analysis and Prevention of Information Threats among Youth.

Experience of the Kyrgyz Republic in youth parlamentarism development will be presented by Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy Dastan Bekeshev and Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Tagaev.

Participants of the session will discuss the International Youth Translation Competition timed to coincide with the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication in the CIS.

Young MPs will deliberate on work plans for the next year, including the Year of Volunteer Movement in the CIS in 2024.

Moreover, participants of the session will consider proposals for awarding the honorary badge “For Contribution to International Youth Cooperation”, an award established by the IPA CIS Council on the initiative of the YIPA CIS.

In the end of the session, participants will summarize the results of the YIPA work in 2022-2023.
