CIS Observer Mission Summarized Results of Monitoring Referendum in Kazakhstan Republic

The final press conference of the CIS Observer Mission on the referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held today in Nur-Sultan.

Head of the CIS Observer Mission Leonid Anfimov stated at a press conference that the referendum was conducted in accordance with the country’s electoral legislation. 144 CIS observers from the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the CSTO PA, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia and the delegations of the CEC of the CIS Member Nations monitored its preparation and holding.

CIS observers visited 865 polling stations and conducted monitoring in 17 other countries.
