Presidential Elections in Kazakhstan: IPA CIS Observer Team Monitors Voting

Voting in the presidential elections has opened in Kazakhstan. A group of international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly monitors voting in Kazakhstan, as well as at foreign polling stations in 13 countries.

IPA CIS Observer Team Coordinator, Deputy Speaker of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri and Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy visited polling station No. 111, 105 and 112.

At one of the polling stations, IPA CIS observers met with Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.

Today, the IPA CIS international observers from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan monitor polling stations in Astana, Almaty, Taldykorgan.

During the monitoring, the observers assess the availability and completeness of information materials at the polling stations, ensuring the secrecy of voting and the free expression of the will of citizens, opportunities for persons with disabilities, etc. The observation will result in a Final Statement.
