CIS Observer Mission drew the outcomes of the runoff election in Moldova

The CIS Observer Mission held a press-conference on the runoff at the presidential election in Moldova.

Head of the CIS Observer Mission, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev noted: "The minor observations were numerous, yet they were not large-scale and could not influence the election.  Generally, the runoff election complied with the Constitution and the Electoral Code of the Republic of Moldova.

"We faced a lack in the number of polling stations noted by the candidates and the observers", added Alexey Sergeev.

Head of the Mission and his colleagues visited about 20 stations in Chisinau and Gagauziya. "Neither I, nor my colleagues found any serious violations. The observers are generally satisfied with the election process. The electoral commissions were well-organized, the process unfolded in a constructive and friendly setting", summed up Alexey Sergeev.

Coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team, Vice Speaker of the Madzhlisi namoyandagon Madzhlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Akramsho Felaliev commented that the runoff election was competitive.

Representative of the CEC of Russian Alexander Kinev and Senior Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Moldova Alexander Istomin attended the press-conference.
