Conclusion of IPA CIS Observer Team on Results of Monitoring of Parliamentary Elections in Republic of Tajikistan Signed

After the completion of the voting process at the elections to the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the IPA CIS Observer Team held a meeting at its headquarters in Dushanbe chaired by Observer Team Coordinator, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Inoyatov.

Team members exchanged their views on the results of the short-term monitoring and shared their impressions on the work at polling stations on the election day.

The Conclusion of the IPA CIS international observers at the elections to the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan was signed at the meeting. It will be announced tomorrow, on 2 March, at the final press conference of the CIS Observer Mission.

During the day, representatives of parliaments from eight IPA CIS Member Nations – the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan – as well as the representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat monitored voting at polling stations located in different regions of Tajikistan. The IPA CIS international observers also worked at foreign polling stations in the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
