IIMDD Baku branch discussed the role of mass media in a democratic state

The Baku branch of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic Development, Parliamentarism and Suffrage Protection of the Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations together with the Baku Slavic University (BSU) held an discussion themed The Role of Mass Media in a Democratic State Development.

The discussion was attended by BSU rector Asif Gadzhiev, Director of the Baku Branch IIMDD Elman Imamaliev and his team, members of the Board of the Publishing Council Vyugar Rahimzade and Azer Hasret, Azernews Chief Editor Sevil Mikailova, Chief Editor, Information center Zirve, Mufshig Borchaly, representatives of NGOs and academia.

During the discussion, Asif Gadzhiev and Elman Imamaliev informed the participants about various events, projects and research efforts in the field of mass media in the context of developing democratic institutions in Azerbaijan and other CIS countries.
