International symposium "Election Process in the Context of Globalization" took place in Chisinau

The international symposium "Election Process in the Context of Globalization" took place in Chisinau, organized by the Chisinau branch of the IPA CIS IIMDD in cooperation with the Institute for Legal and Political Research (IPPI), the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova and the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova.
Director of IPA CIS IIMDD Chisinau Branch Eugeny Stirbu noted that the electoral process, like all the processes taking place in the Republic of Moldova, did not avoid the influence of globalization.
Welcoming address to the participants of the event was delivered by Deputy Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Sergei Karavaev, IPPI Deputy Director Victor Zhuk and Chairman of the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova Victor Mocanu.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova, political parties, non-governmental organizations, media, academia and experts.
