Young parliamentarians arrived in St. Petersburg at the autumn session of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations

The eighth meeting of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations (YIPA CIS) was opened by its coordinator, Vice Speaker of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the sixth calling Bakhtiar Maken. He reminded that 2016 had been declared the Year of Education in the CIS adding that a number of events would be dedicated to this occasion.

Views of the youth on the future of the Commonwealth, its main trends of integration and perspectives became the key topic of the 8th meeting. The participants discussed the concept of the Recommendations on Management and Development of the Activity of the Youth Parliament in the CIS Member Nations, as well as the operational procedure of the working group on drafting this document. Additionally, the parliamentarians exchanged their opinions on perspectives of developing e-democracy in the CIS and discussed the YIPA CIS Plan of Action of for 2017.
