Dmitriy Kobitskiy announced the complimentary speech of Valentina Matvienko at the opening of the European conference of neutron scattering

The 7th European conference on Neutron Scattering is a large-scale event where there are discussions about the latest developments and achievements in the field of application of scattered neutrons in all fields of science.

IPA CIS SG Dmitriy Kobitskiy at the opening ceremony of the conference read a complimentary speech of the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko.

In her speech was said that within the framework of national projects, Russian science was facing important and ambitious tasks of scientific and technological development and the solution of these problems largely depended on international scientific cooperation, including the activities of scientists from the CIS countries.

The opening ceremony was attended by Representative of the RF President in Northwest Federal district Alexander Gutan, Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Chairman of the conference, Kurchatov Institute National Research Centre Director Mikhail Kovalchuk.

The conference took place in the Russian Federation for the first time. More than 800 scientists from 42 countries of the world came to St. Petersburg.
