Experts Discussed Significance of Nikoloz Beruchashvili’s Legacy for Adressing Modern Geography Issues

From 12 to 16 September 2022, the international conference “Landscape Dimensions of Sustainable Development: Science – Carto/GIS – Planning – Governance”, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Georgian geographer and cartographer, experimenter and traveler, Professor Nikoloz (Niko) Beruchashvili, took place in Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The conference also discussed the issues of climate change, the development of mountainous areas and modern research in these fields.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva took part in the event.
