IPA CIS Took Part in X St. Petersburg International Health Forum

The Forum’s central event was the plenary session “Public Health in a Changing World” that featured the welcoming speeches of WHO Representative in the Russian Federation Melita Vujnovic, the Governors of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov. The meeting discussed the most topical health issues, including the development of the “Healthy Cities” project.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova spoke at the international session “Opportunities for Development of International Cooperation. Prospects for an International Platform for Strengthening Public Health”. She told about the model laws adopted by the IPA CIS in the field of public health and proposals of the CIS parliaments for 2023-2025.

The extensive program of the X St. Petersburg International Health Forum included over 60 research and practice events for the Forum participants, including representatives of the World Health Organization in Russia, the BRICS and the SCO countries, as well as delegations from 150 Russian cities.
