The CIS headquarters is staging a photography exhibition The Last World War: remember for the sake of peace

The exhibition is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. It takes place in Minsk, in the CIS Executive Committee.

It is a common project of 9 states: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republics of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

About 30 photos captured the tragedy and grief of combatants and those on the home front, the unity of peoples against fascism, and their commitment to victory.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by representatives of Ministers of Foreign Affairs if the CIS states, members of the Executive Committee. The IPA CIS was represented by Permanent Representative of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Yuriy Andreev.

Exhibition The Last World War: remember for the sake of peace is the last in the course of events devoted to the 70th anniversary of the victory. In May, the exhibition was featured in the UN headquarters.
