Galina Karelova: Third Eurasian Women’s Forum Will Be Held in Person With Strict Observance of Anti-COVID Measures

Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum Galina Karelova took part in the plenary session of the Marathon “Women’s Health – Well-Being of the Nation”. The event launched the Regional Russian Forum Week and brought together a team of professionals implementing projects to promote healthy lifestyles.

During the event, Galina Karelova stressed that the Eurasian Women’s Forum would be held in person with strict compliance with all security measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, taking into account the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and the World Health Organization. She also recalled that health issues and women’s participation in shaping a healthy future had become an important component of the Russian Federation National Action Strategy for Women. In this regard, she clarified that the Eurasian Women’s Forum would include the various formats of communication on the topic of health preservation: a strategic session, thematic discussions, presentations and a festival of health and beauty.

According to the press service of the chamber, the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council noted the high level of organization of the Marathon “Women’s Health - Well-Being of the Nation”. The senator emphasized that women in the modern world were actively promoting the principles of health preservation not only among their close circle but also among the general population.
