Women’s Mission to Shape a New Agenda for Peace and Trust Discussed at Plenary Session in Tavricheskiy Palace

The plenary session of the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum “The Women’s Mission to Shape a New Agenda for Peace and Trust” was moderated by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, who noted the increased participation of women in national parliaments.

The welcome addresses were made by Deputy Speaker of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri, wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, initiator of the movement “Women for Peace” Anna Hakobyan,  Head of the Administrative Territorial Unit of Gagauzia of the Republic of Moldova Irina Vlah, Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Economic and Fiscal Policy Gulshat Asylbaeva, member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission on Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Suleimen, member of the Committee of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic on Science and Education Fatma Yildirim, Chair of the Committee on Family and Women under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Hilolbi Qurbonzoda. The event was also attended by representatives of the United Nations, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, national parliaments of the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Korea, Montenegro, Mongolia, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay and other countries.
