60th Session of Parliamentary Assembly of Union of Belarus and Russia Took Place

On 16 June 2021, the parliamentarians of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation discussed the drafting of model legislation within the framework of the 60th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

Chairperson of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin noted the need for parliamentarians to work effectively on the harmonization of legislation and the drafting of model laws. In addition, he emphasized the importance of developing cross-border cooperation between the two countries.

First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko noted the support provided by Russia against the background of Western attempts to destabilize the situation in Belarus.

According to the press service of the State Duma, parliamentarians of Russia and Belarus also discussed amendments to the Decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State on the Budget of the Union State for 2020, the report of the Council of Ministers of the Union State on the budget execution of the Union State for 2020 and preparation of the budget for the next year.
