President of Republic of Kazakhstan Ends Mandate of Speaker of Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva

On 2 May, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree ending the mandate of member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva.

Dariga Nazarbaeva was appointed the member of the Senate by the decree of President Nursultan Nazarbaev in September 2016. On 20 March 2019, she was elected the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, succeeding Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who became the President of the country.

Previously, Dariga Nazarbaeva worked as the Deputy Speaker of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic.
