Russian MPs Ratified Agreement with Tajikistan on Establishment of Unified Air Defense System

At a plenary session, members of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation ratified the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan on the establishment of the United Regional Air Defense System. The document was signed in Dushanbe on 27 April 2021.
The air defense system aims to notify the parties about flights of intelligence space vehicles and monitor compliance with the rules for aircraft border crossing of the two countries and their flights in the 50-kilometer border strip.
