Regular Meeting of Council of CIS Foreign Ministers Takes Place in Minsk

An in-person meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers took place today in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus.

The meeting brought together the representatives of the foreign ministries of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the in camera meeting, the heads of the delegations exchanged views on relevant issues of the international agenda and interaction within the Commonwealth, as well as signed a number of documents, including the Provisions on the International Association of CIS Historians and Archivists, the Joint Statement of the CIS Foreign Ministers on Strengthening the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, as well as approved the Plan of CIS Multi-level Inter-MFA Consultations .

The next meeting of the Council will be held on 8 April 2022 in Dushanbe.
