 Regular Meeting of Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives Took Place in Minsk

On 27 September 2021, the regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth took place in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.

During the meeting, the meeting participants were briefed on the activities of the Council of Heads of Penitentiary Services of the CIS Member Nations and discussed the activities of the CIS Outer Space Council. The Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives also were informed about the implementation of the provisions of the Free Trade Agreement. In addition, the Council members considered the progress of the preparations for the meetings of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers and the Council of the CIS Heads of State to be held in Minsk on 14-15 October.

The Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives also appointed Chairman of the Board of the Russian Foundation for Free Elections Vasily Volkov as the Head of the CIS Observer Mission at the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic to be held on 28 November 2021.

In addition, the Council members were provided with information on the preparations for the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to be held on 24 October 2021.

The next meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth will be held on 26 October in Minsk.
