Medicine and Law in the XXI century – the central theme of today’s deliberations in the Tavricheskiy Palace

The international conference Medicine and Law in the XXI century is focused on the harmonization of public health laws and medication framework across the CIS. Sergey Kourdin, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Igor Gorlinskiy, Pro-rector, St. Petersburg State University, and the members of the IPA CIS Expert Board on Public Health are attending the Conference. Yuriy Scherbuk, Chairman of the Board, opened the session.

Sergey Kourdin welcomed the participants on behalf of Alexey Sergeev, IPA CIS Council Secretary General. He stressed that public health issues were always on the screen of the IPA CIS law-making. He added that the establishment of the Expert Board in April 2013 served as proof of this fact.

The conference deliberates on 12-14 November with a thematic roundtable, a plenary session and a student panel taking place at St. Petersburg State University on 13-14 November.
