Sochi will be the venue for the session of the CIS Council on Culture

According to the CIS Execom press service, the agenda of the session will include over a dozen items. The session will consider, among other things, the progress of implementation of the CIS Plan of Action in Culture till 2015, and a draft of a similar Plan of Action for 2016 – 2020? The International Expo Project of the Great Patriotic War Museum Together We Stood against Nazism dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The session will look into the ART EXPO project – an international exposition of the CIS cultural aquis designed by Armenia on the decision of the Council.
The session will also the status of work at the The Lihachev National Center for Cultural and Natural Heritage as the CIS focal point for the conservation of world heritage, compilation of a documentary series Born in the CIS, the status of preparations of the CIS-wide Delphic Games, extension to other CIS nations of the Belo-Russian project for the social, cultural and athletic rehab of wheelchair-bound persons through dance, crafts and nature tours. The Council was established in 1995.Its mission is to promote common humanitarian area in the CIS through joint events and projects in the CIS.
