Alexei Mayorov and Dmitriy Kobitskiy Took Part in Monitoring of Voting of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan

The XXVIII Session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan on the elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the Palace of Peace and Accord in Nur-Sultan.

According to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 9 out of 107 members of the lower chamber of the Parliament elected by the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan – an advisory and consultative body under the President, formed from representatives of republican and regional ethnocultural associations.

Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev also voted for the candidates at the Session.

IPA CIS Observer Team Coordinator, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management Alexei Mayorov and Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy represented the IPA CIS Observer Team at the event. The Session was also attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Nuskabaj.
