Ivan Mushket Addressed Conference

The post-election conference “Parliamentary Elections in the Republic of Moldova: Analysis, Conclusions, Recommendations and Follow-Up” took place on 18-19 February 2021.

Representatives of international organizations, state and local authorities of the Republic of Moldova, election commissions of all levels, political parties, civil society, journalists, as well as national and international observers accredited for the 2020 presidential elections in Moldova attended the event.

The Conference discussed the features of the 2020 election process in the Republic of Moldova, analyzed the various stages of the elections: nomination of candidates,  setting up electoral funds, resolution of electoral disputes, monitoring and regulation of media activities, as well as the result of the work of observer missions.

During the event, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket presented a report in which he drew the attention to a number of recommendations expressed in the documents prepared by the IPA CIS Observer Team. In conclusion, Ivan Mushket noted the good organization of work and constructive dialogue with the leadership of the CEC of the Republic of Moldova during the election monitoring.
