Kyrgyz CEC Finishes Admission of Documents from Political Parties for Registration of Candidates to Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyz Republic

According to the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic, the admission of documents from the political parties for registration of candidates to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was completed on 24 August 2020.
According to the Article 61 of the Constitutional Law on Elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, within ten calendar days from the admission of documents the CEC checks them for compliance with laws and makes a decision on the registration of the list of party candidates. In total, 17 political parties applied for registration.
The campaigning begins on 4 September and ends on 2 October. The elections will take place on 4 October 2020.
