IPA CIS observers adopt work schedule for the E-day

Opening the meeting, the coordinator of the group Leonid Sloutskiy noted that the observer team would have a balanced structure. According to him, work at polling stations and monitoring the election process is a critical objective in Azerbaijan.

IPA CIS Secretary General Alexey Sergeev added that the team will include 7 CIS MPs, IPA CIS Secretariat staff, academia, and IPA CIS IIMDD experts.

IPA CIS IIMDD director Dmitriy Gladey noted that during long-term monitoring, his team was mandated to oversee the practical application of election law by all the elements of the election framework and the way those elements were interacting.
