IPA CIS observers to monitor parliamentary elections in the Republic of Belarus

The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus invited the IPA CIS delegation to participate in the monitoring of the upcoming parliamentary elections. The invitation letter signed by Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko was sent to Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

The IPA CIS parliamentarians and experts from the IIMDD IPA CIS will monitor the elections. The staff has already begun to build a group to fulfill long-term and short-term monitoring of the electoral process in the republic.
