Model laws in the field of science and education discussed in the IPA CIS headquarters

The IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education held its session in the Tavricheskiy Palace. The meeting brought together the MPs of the parliaments of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as experts and observers.

Chair of the Standing Commission on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Marzalyuk chaired the meeting.

The Commission adopted in general and recommended to include in the agenda of the plenary session of the IPA CIS the revised draft Model Law on Pre-school Education and Recommendations on Attestation of Highly Qualified Research Workers Including Educators.

It also discussed the revised draft Model Law on Scientific and Technical Information, Recommendations on the Improvement of Education Standards in the CIS Member Nations and Recommendations on Nanotechnology Ethics.

The members of the Commission were informed on the implementation of the model laws adopted by the IPA CIS on the initiative of the Commission in the parliaments.

The meeting also summarized the results of the Commission work in 2017.
